Tater tut craft in Egyptian scene

Zahn Learning Center Open Hours: ZLC OH!

Enhance your Spurlock Museum experience with hands-on activities in the Zahn Learning Center. During ZLC Open Hours (ZLC OH), visitors of all ages enjoy engaged learning through exhibit or cultural-related crafts, and access to teaching artifacts and books. $2 per crafter to cover materials. Weekend parking is free in non-metered, non-reserved spots in lot D 22, behind the Museum (enter lot on Oregon).

It's the day before Wrapped Up! Visitors to the Learning Center can make their own Tater Tut mummified potato project and learn about Egyptian mummification. The potato will harden in a few weeks and the mummification materials (salt, baking soda, washing soda) can be recycled into a load of laundry. Not smelly at all, just like a well-prepared mummy should be!
