WorldFest: Ginger Lozar’s Puppets (Puppeteer)

Ginger Lozar’s literature-based, multicultural hand-puppet shows feature a unique art form that captures the imagination and teaches timeless lessons. They are action-packed, educational, thought-provoking, and entertaining. Performances often include one other puppeteer, and the scripts are designed to involve audience members through active participation. Often, volunteers are given specific roles in the play, or groups are asked to do an activity such as participating in a celebration parade, which culminates the performance. Audiences delight in a theater experience they will cherish for a lifetime.

Founder and Artistic Director Ginger Lozar has been perfecting the art of puppeteering for more than two decades. She holds an MA in Education and Literature from the University of Illinois and has traveled and performed for thousands of people throughout the world, most recently in Mexico, China, Italy, and Argentina. A former trustee for the Puppeteers of America, Inc., she has been an artist on the Illinois Arts Council Arts-In-Education Roster for the past twelve years.
