Literature at the Heart of our Lives

Youth Literature Festival
This communitywide event focuses on building an increased appreciation for literature by readers of all ages. As part of the celebration, the Spurlock Museum will host guest authors for public readings of their work and book-signing sessions, feature a special display by the UIUC Center for Children’s Books, and entertain listeners of all ages in book-and-story gatherings throughout the galleries and the exhibit “Children Just Like Me.” Guest authors hosted in the Knight Auditorium are Susan Campbell Bartoletti (10 AM), Richard Van Camp (11:30 AM), Cynthia Leitich Smith (1 PM), and Marc Aronson (2:30 PM).
