Awarded the honor "People's Artist of Russia" in 1995, Prof. Semionov is not only a performing artist, but also a teacher of other award-winning performers at the esteemed Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. He is the composer of many works for this traditional Russian instrument and for Russian folk orchestra.
