Valentine's Chocolate Making and Crafts

Let's get ready for Valentine’s Day! Join the Spurlock staff for an afternoon of chocolate making, crafting, and storytelling at the incredible makerspace (The Shop) at the Siebel Center for Design! Our sweet partners at the SCD will guide you in making chocolate hearts filled with delicious goodies. While you wait for your creation to cool, head to the wrapping and creation stations to decorate a gift box or make cards that express your love and appreciation for someone special (or maybe to keep for yourself?) Meanwhile, Spurlock resident storyteller Jadyn Laixely will regale you with stories of love and friendship.

Recommended age: adults and children aged 4 and up; kids under age 14 must have an adult guardian. We’ll even have a photo station available, so you can take a “glamour shot” of your creation.

Special note: This is a partner event between the Spurlock Museum of World Cultures and the Siebel Center of Design. Please come to the Siebel Center of Design. Bus riders can take the 220 from Illinois Terminal and get off at Ikenberry Commons, then make a 3-minute walk to the venue.
