- Time: 1:00 pm–4:00 pm (CST)
- Location: Zahn Learning Center, Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St., Urbana, IL

During ZLC OH on Saturday afternoons, visitors can create crafts inspired by special exhibits, cultural holidays, current events, and Spurlock’s feature gallery collections. Ideal for elementary age students through adults, ZLC OH aims to help visitors explore world cultures by making crafts and spending hands-on time with objects from the Museum’s Teaching Collection.
This Open Hours is part of a special family event celebrating Brazil, as the Museum joins with other venues throughout Illinois and Indiana in the MOSTRA VII Brazilian Film Series. In the ZLC, visitors can make a Brazilian Chocalho, or shaker. Screenings of a "Monica’s Gang" cartoon in both English and Portuguese will be offered in the Knight Auditorium, and the telling of folktales will be offered in our gallery space. Museum admission is free, and parking is free in non-metered, non-reserved parking spaces in lot D22 (behind the museum)
