ZLC OH: Mesopotamian Game of UR

During ZLC OH on Saturday afternoons, visitors can create crafts inspired by special exhibits, cultural holidays, current events, and Spurlock’s feature gallery collections. Ideal for elementary age students through adults, ZLC OH aims to help visitors explore world cultures by making crafts and spending hands-on time with objects from the Museum’s Teaching Collection.

Using inkjet printable canvas, fabric markers, and model magic, make your own Game of UR. ZLC staff will teach you a way to play this visually stunning board game, discovered in the 1920’s during Sir Leonard Woolley’s excavation of the Royal Tombs of Ur. $2 per crafter; museum admission is free, and parking is free in non-metered, non-reserved parking spaces in lot D22 (behind the museum).
