Join us for an extraordinary journey exploring Spurlock Museum’s amazing exhibits and treasures including the special, limited-time display of North of the Northern Lights—the 1913 University of Illinois expedition to the Arctic led by LAS professors.
Attending this event presents you with a rare opportunity to participate in a private, guided tour led by Museum Director Wayne Pitard and museum staff. Hear the stories and view displays about Illinois’ epic Arctic expedition as well as about ancient Mesopotamia, Africa, East Asia, South America and more.
In addition to enjoying a private viewing of over 2000 artifacts in Spurlock Museum’s extensive collection, you’ll learn about the history and creation of Illinois’ extraordinary museum, meet fellow alumni and museum enthusiasts, and enjoy a reception with hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
Spurlock Museum and the LAS Alumni Association are excited to offer this exclusive opportunity to our alumni and friends.
