World AIDS Day with the Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois

World AIDS Day, observed annually on December 1st, is an opportunity for people around the world to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS, support those affected, and honor those we have lost.

Our event begins with a candlelight vigil and song dedication, then transitions to guest speakers, and ends with entertainment from invited individuals/groups.

Throughout the event, community members are able to view historic AIDS memorial quilts, browse educational materials, and enjoy light snacks and refreshments.

To participate as a sponsor or community partner, please email
