Illinois Theatre invites you to a showing of the film The End of the Tour followed by an opportunity to engage with screenwriter and Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies.

The End of the Tour tells the story of a five-day interview between Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky (Jesse Eisenberg) and the acclaimed author of Infinite Jest, David Foster Wallace (Jason Segal).  As the days unfold, a tenuous yet intense relationship develops between journalist and subject.  The men bob and weave around each other, sharing laughs and revealing hidden frailties - but it's never clear how truthful they are being with each other.  The film is based on Lipsky's critically acclaimed memoir about this unforgettable encounter, written following Wallace's 2008 suicide.  The son of local professors, Wallace was reared in Champaign and Urbana.
